WHY?

You built the Rainbow BRTS app to address the real-world transportation challenges faced by commuters in Pune. The goal was to improve accessibility, provide real-time bus information, and simplify route planning for users of the Rainbow Bus Rapid Transit System. Your app aimed to bridge the communication gap between the transport system and its users through intuitive design, live tracking, and user-friendly features.

  • To enhance the public transport experience in Pune by making it more reliable and transparent.

  • To solve user pain points such as route confusion, lack of bus timings, and poor digital access to transit info.

  • To apply your design thinking and UX skills to a meaningful civic problem and make transport more inclusive.

IMPACT

The project demonstrated how thoughtful UX/UI design can lead to a better user experience in public infrastructure. It also served as a comprehensive case study showcasing your ability to conduct research, define user personas, prototype solutions, and create a full-fledged branding system. It became a milestone in your thesis work combining creativity with real-world problem-solving.
