Project Brief

This project is a personal AI Agent created using Voiceflow, a no-code platform for designing and building conversational AI. The agent acts as an interactive portfolio guide for Tanay's Portfolio, helping users explore projects, view the resume, or learn more about Tanay with an intuitive chatbot experience. It was designed with multiple conversation flows, button options, and a clean, user-friendly structure.

Turns design thinking into dynamic dialogue

The AI agent successfully creates a welcoming, engaging, and efficient way for users to interact with Tanay’s portfolio. It simplifies navigation and personalizes the user experience compared to traditional portfolio websites.

Through this project, valuable skills were gained in conversational UX design, flow structuring, and low-code AI development. Future improvements could include integrating it into a live website and connecting real-time project updates dynamically.

Development Steps

  • Setting up the project

    • Created a new project in Voiceflow titled "Your AI agent."

    • Chose a simple, friendly opening conversation with greetings like "Hello! How are you today?"

       

  • Designing Conversation Flows

    Built multiple blocks to guide the user:

    • First block: Greeting and asking "What area do you want to explore today?"

    • Second block: Four main options - Projects, Resume, Contact, About Tanay.

    • Further branching into specific project categories like Branding, UI/UX, Motion Graphics, etc.

       

  • Adding Buttons and Intents

    • Implemented quick reply buttons to make the experience touch-friendly and easy to navigate.

    • Set custom responses depending on what the user clicks.

       

  • Testing the Agent

    • Used Voiceflow’s “Test your Agent” feature to simulate the user journey.

    • Recorded and reviewed the agent in action to ensure smooth transitions across all paths.

  1. Build an Interactive Portfolio: Provide a more dynamic and engaging way for users to explore portfolio content rather than just scrolling through static pages.
     

  2. Learn Conversational AI Design: Practice building conversational experiences including dialogue design, user intents, and interaction flow using Voiceflow.
     

  3. Streamline User Navigation: Offer quick access to important sections like Projects, Resume, and About Me through clear buttons and easy prompts.
     

  4. Prepare for Future Deployment: Create a prototype that could later be embedded into a personal website or linked with voice assistants.

Conclusion!

I created this AI chatbot using Voiceflow as a way to explore emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and conversational design—areas that are becoming increasingly relevant in the world of modern design. As a graphic designer, I wanted to move beyond static visuals and learn how to craft dynamic, voice-and-text-based experiences that feel intuitive, engaging, and human. This project was a stepping stone in understanding how AI can be used as a creative tool, not just a technical one.

Through this project, I gained hands-on experience in designing user flows, crafting natural conversations, and thinking about how users interact with non-visual interfaces. It helped me build a deeper understanding of user experience in conversational platforms, expanded my design perspective, and gave me the confidence to experiment further with AI and voice technology in future creative work.
