PROJECT BRIEF
The objectives of this project are to explore and analyze the relationship between letterform creating dynamic visual space and rhythms by croping, rotating, and scaling characters within the given space in sequence without using imagery. The Idea is to creat one Upper Case and one Lower Case and one of them has to be complicated design and the other has to be simple. I also have created mockups with this design idea.

Why Garamond Pro?
I chose Garamond Pro for its timeless elegance, refined structure, and high legibility. Its classic serif forms bring a sense of sophistication to the bold, modern layouts—creating a beautiful contrast between tradition and contemporary design. The font’s subtle curves and balanced proportions highlight the beauty of each individual letter, making it an ideal choice for a project centered around typographic expression.

Why?
The color palette of brown, orange, and yellow was chosen for its warmth, energy, and vintage-modern balance.
-
Brown grounds the design, evoking richness, stability, and a sense of structure, perfect for showcasing letterforms.
-
Orange introduces vibrancy and creativity, drawing the eye to typographic elements and adding a playful tone.
-
Yellow acts as a highlight, bringing brightness and contrast that enhances visibility and rhythm across the compositions.
Together, these colors create a visually engaging, harmonious set that emphasizes the expressive nature of typography while maintaining clarity and balance.
I chose uppercase letters for simpler, more geometric forms because they offer bold, balanced structures that are easier to manipulate visually. In contrast, I used lowercase letters for more complex forms to showcase typographic intricacies like curves, counters, and unique flourishes allowing the organic nature of lowercase characters to stand out within abstract layouts.

WHY?
This project was a personal exploration of how typography alone can communicate form, rhythm, and identity without relying on imagery or text. By designing a set of business cards focused purely on letterforms, I aimed to push the boundaries of visual communication and treat each alphabet as a graphic element turning everyday characters into artistic compositions.
IMPACT
The Alphabetical Typography Cards project was a study in the expressive power of letterforms, transforming individual characters into standalone visual statements. Through intentional choices in color, typeface, and structure, this series demonstrates how typography can function as both communication and design. It’s a reminder that even the simplest elements, letters, can become bold, meaningful compositions when approached with creativity and purpose.
